Friends of Avenham & Miller Park
Completion of the Stable Yard improvements

Who are the Friends?
The Friends of Avenham and Miller Parks is a community group made up of people who have an interest in the parks. Many of us live or have lived near the parks, whilst others simply enjoy visiting the parks and therefore have an interest in how they are managed. The group was established in 2004 and currently has a membership of around 30 people.
What do you do?
We work in partnership with the Park Manager and Parks Service to ensure the parks are maintained to a high standard and continue to develop to meet the needs of the community. We have played a major role in the park restoration project, including input in to the Heritage Lottery Fund applications, and also organise community events, contribute to management decisions and help raise funding for improvements and new facilities.
How can I get involved?
Come along to one of our meetings to find out more. We meet monthly, in the Pavilion or the Rectory, and the next Friends meetings are as follows:
Wednesday 29 May 18.30, The Pavillion
Light refreshments are provided.
If you would like to become a member of the Friends of Avenham and Miller Parks, please contact the Park Manager on (01772) 907737 or the Chair of the Friends Group on (01772) 252528.
The Friends are currently trying to raise funds for an ornate park bench. If you would like to donate, or if you would like to purchase a memorial bench for the parks for yourself or in memory of a loved one, please contact the Park Manager. Approximate costs, including the bench, a plaque and installation costs, start from £999.
